Implant Dentures

Implants replace the root of a tooth and integrate into the jaw and surrounding tissue providing a stable anchor on which a tooth is fabricated. Implants are more stable and feel more like a natural tooth than most types of dentures. They can replace a single lost tooth or many missing teeth. Implants are performed under local anesthesia by an Oral Surgeon. The Denturist works in collaboration with the Oral Surgeon for optimal patient care.

Implant Bar

Another method of implant retained dentures. The Implant itself is the same as in the ball and cap method except a retention bar is screwed into the implants and the denture is retained by a clip that attaches to the bar.

Implant Supported Denture

A removable denture that is supported by 2-4 posts that are surgically inserted into the bone on either the upper or lower arch. This denture snaps into place and is removable by the patient. This is advantageous because the denture can be cleaned nightly and the mouth tissue given a rest for the evening.

There are a variety of attachment methods from ball and cap and locators to bar retained systems.
